Pros & Cons
Pros
Great value product, replacement for pervious sonicare brush due to battery dying. Not a bad price and hopefully will last a few years. Guarantee is very good, initially 2 years but if registered within 90 days is extended to a max of 3 years.
Sonicare toothbrush is well made and comfortable to use. Cleaning process is so much better than a normal toothbrush. Vibrations and rattling send shivers to the gums.
Good value toothbrush. Timer is simple to understand. The timer works reliably, and battery life is fine. Amazon pdf questions recommend.
Cons
Vibrations are so weak that it no longer cleans my teeth. This is the 3rd sonicare toothbrush we have bought which develops a fault shortly after the warranty runs out. Don't trust these toothbrushes.
Higher spec models are much thinner. The motor is under powered, even when fully charged. Means it's much lower powered than the li-ion models and requires more charging.
Brown rusty water leaking out of the seal between the metal attachment (the bit the brush head attaches to) and the handle body. Fourth one in a row that has broken within 1-3 years. Requested a return, just useless.

Competitiveness
Bought to replace defunct more expensive sonicare brush which had multi options which i rarely used.
i'm writing this review after 3 years of my second purchase of a toothbrush of the philips sonicare family.
I replaced with a cheapy own brand (nevodent) which wasnt able to hold battery more than a week at a time.
