Pros & Cons
Cons
No plug in for the wall, only a usb port for a charger. Worst thing is that this new model barely vibrates. Bitterly disappointed in all of you.
The rod that the brush connects to broke. It is so weak in it's vibration that the slightest pressure against the gums stops the vibration entirely. They get more money the more damage i do to my teeth and gums.
While i love the toothbrush when it *does* work, the lifespan does not justify the price and it is a *huge hassle* to get assistance from phillips. Stopped working after 8 months. Now it no longer operates properly.
Highlights
Quality
The brush itself is truly fantastic, delivering deep cleaning that leaves my teeth feeling refreshed and sparkling.
It works great and i recommend it for anyone needing a good electric toothbrush!
There is a slight buzz every 30 seconds an it shuts off at 2 minutes.
We hope it was only a leaky battery, but with that nasty odor, it is possible someone used this device in an orifice it was not... Read More
Price
That one would have cost me almost $300 including tax.
It is their cheapest model, under $50 with tax.
Buying the first unit was expensive and the second one had gone up exponentially.
Even with inflation taken into account, that became a reach!
Shipping
Same result; i think we got to 5 days!
Update: the replacement arrived in just a few days, and that’s where the good news ends.
It arrived with a partial charge so after an initial test use, we plugged it in for over 4 hours to get it fully charged.
Packaging/appearance
The brush head wrapper was already opened.
The device in the box was an older model (see photo of brush and box together).
The model in the box was not the model on the box.
Competitiveness
I have taken this to a dozen countries and i can charge it anywhere because of the auto current feature of usb blocks.
I’ve had similar sonicare toothbrushes for years and have always been pleased with them.
So i searched other manufacturers for an alternative and also found this, phillips sonicare.
Then i bought their more expensive diamond clean brush heads.
