Quality
I think the toothbrush works very well, but the replacement head is a little pricey compared to other replacement heads.
Works great, no issues since i bought it.
To keep my clean i unscrew the brush after each use and rinse it inside and out, same with the base.
If the new one lasts as long as the first, i will be very happy.
Competitiveness
Seems more robust than the new models.
I bought this as a replacement for my previous sonicare a series.
However, i recently purchased the new $200 sonicare.

I have had mine for nearly four years and the on switch has become too hard to mash to turn on

From what ive read this approach easily beats the number two oralbs circular motion device
