No wires,just using two aa sunlabz rechargeable nicad batteries that last a long time.
It feels a lot different than the high end sonicare products (vibration wise), but i did not get good life out of those.
It's not comparable to an actual sonicare, but i don't think that should be your expectation given the price differences.

Let the brush do the work you will guide the brush along the teeth and gums not drive it into your enamel like a jack hammer

The rechargeable sonicares would only last me about 6 months then no longer hold a charge

I know im brushing long enough it has a timer and shuts off

I have owned two others like this one and they all operate flawlessly without the disappointing experience of having the thing quit after a few months with no way to repair it
