Pros

The hauppauge switch allows you to connect up to three devices at once. It's self powered & has both component and s-video input/output. Allows you to easily change hd inputs between my cable tv box, xbox 360, and my pc.

Cons

New tv only has component, hdmi, and dvi inputs. It has no composite input.

Quality

Video quality is very good on my 32" hi-def tv, even from a good vcr tape.

It works as advertised and i really do not see any degradation in image quality.

It works greats thoughand i've noticed no change in picture quality.

Competitiveness

This switches between a wii and another switchbox, which has a composite input for the vcr, and a s-video input for my dvd player.

At least until i upgrade to a blu-ray dvd player with hdmi output.
