It also plays some codecs and not others. It plays the highest res codecs and mp3, but none of the less compressed codecs.
The screen quality is not very good. This compares poorly to a $15 sandisc, which works, is easy to use, and does not weigh 2 lbs.

Looks like they took a page out of fios book and crippled amazing hardware with ridiculously awful software.

But it has no hardware buttons for fast forward and rewind and the ui is one of the most frustrating convoluted music players i have ever seen in my life

You need to take a full day to get used to this interface and you might even have to read the instructions

Still if you’re willing to endure the horrible shortcomings of the software you will be rewarded with really great sounding music

I’m not advocating hearing loss to anybody but most of the players i have use just don’t put out enough volume for high and earphones
