    It does swivel around but i was hoping for the head to be able to point up to the ceiling or maybe to the wall but its not possible with this one

    The only thing with having it on the side is it you have a long desk then the lamp will have to stretch pretty far to reach the center and then the arm will be close to the desk

    These days just about everything electronic has a large power adapter and you cant fit too many in a power strip because they all point different ways or you have to skip outlets on the strip so they can plug in

    Maybe if it had some cool features like being able to use voice commands or had the timer or motion sensing feature or able to change to other colors or make breakfast and coffee in the morning then i might say it was a good buy at 60
