Pros

This label maker is big enough for shipping labels. You can get a stack of 500 labels for under $10 here on amazon that work well with this printer. It fits nicely on my desk and is highly portable.

The self positioning of the label is great and has been able to detect where the label begins and ends. It is a bit slow but not a show stopper. I also have the 241-bt, which is very similar to this b246d.

I recently was given the daunting task of clearing my mother's home. This thing is super cute and super efficient. Besides functionality, i love that it's cute, small and turquoise.

The printer seems to be fine, but the chrome extension might be a little buggy. The app is a bit difficult to work with at first, but then gets better. The only issue is the description states bluetooth connectivity it does not have that capability.

Cons

It appears that the jagged edges are related to sort of crude form of dithering associated with simulating grayscale output. It connects for a few seconds and then disconnects.

This is a great value that saves us so much time and money!

I have no complaints thus far, i do recommend spending the 10 bucks or so on one of those label holders that sits behind the printer.

I do wish that it connected wirelessly, but for this price, i don't mind the usb-only connection.

Item comes in an unmarked box, so may not be great for gifting.

There were a lot of fiddly bits in the package but overall it's got a pretty small footprint.

Competitiveness

I have another thermal printer from another company, and this phomemo is just as fast, and the print quality seems better.

I also have the 241-bt, which is very similar to this b246d.

And the types of labels available out there are much more diverse than the boring stuff the big-name label makers restrict you to.

They have a lot of models that are very similar in price, features, and model #s, so it's hard to know what the differences are.
