Quality
In playing with the paddle, it performed as expected for a graphite/poly core paddle.
Gives me great control of the ball and i'm hitting where i want with the proper speed.
Not very expensive and with just enough control to get comfortable with the game.
But, they came thru big time and backed their product.
Price
The price was almost $100 less than most of the new model longer paddles available today so i said what the hey and gave it a try.
I got this paddle at a bit of a discount, so admittedly price was a factor, but i also liked what i saw of it.
Packaging/appearance
The longer handle on the elite also helps with those two handed backhands near the nvz.

Competitiveness
Champion is a house brand of pickleball central and is proudly made in the usa.
Great weight and grip for me a beginner pickleball player.
I still wish i had bought 2 or 3 more of the original champion graphites.

This champion xl is an elongated paddles that is narrower than the standard shape paddle

The graphite has some texture and the graphics are not raised like some cheaper paddles

The thickness is the older style as now many of the premium paddles are thicker by 25

I played with it for a few years initially a few hours a week mostly indoor for a year or two before the pandemic but pandemic cut that down to more like an average of an hour a month over the next 2
