Bought it for my sailboat. Suitable for a family of four. Only think is how the plush like fabric will react at the beach.
Everything is perfect about this product. This is amazing! Definitely recommend. This blankets is fantastic!
The backing is great for shielding us from damp grass. My baby loves how soft the top is when he crawls around. It's got a soft cover on top and on the bottom a waterproof mylar covering.
Cons
Water resistant, but not waterproof. Not machine washable. Potential carcinogen/cancer causing. Returned this shortly after buying it.

It could have a little more thickness to stop out the dampness

It seems like the top layer is like a thick flannel and the underside is a water repellent foil type fabric
