Pros
The pen feels solid, luxurious, and has an excellent fit and finish. It even handles post-it paper better than any fountain pen i have ever tried. Great fountain pen.
The nib is practically on par with the nib on my pilot custom 823. The only real difference to the 823 is that the 743 uses a cartridge/converter instead of a piston fill mechanism. The custom 912 is more polished with the silver trim.
This pen comes closer than many of its competitors, certainly in its flexibility, if not responsiveness, to a fine flexible vintage nib fountain pen. Its excellent nib performance also contributes to this pen being a very good drawing implement.
Namiki (pilot) falcon has been rated the best 14k flex nib in the marketplace. Medium nib is buttery smooth, a true western medium. Fine-medium nib is absolutely great. Waverley nib has an interesting, unusual shape.

Wow, this pen is as good as a montblanc in looks and in the quality of the nib, but at a much, much lower price!

However, in future i will pay extra for expedited shipping.
I purchased this fp through another major online buying service for $240 with free expedited shipping from japan.

I guess the point im trying to make is that the 15 nib does not make the 743 look regal or more dignified or even more attractive than the 74

I do not have a 74 with a cnib thus i can not make any direct comparisons in regard to line quality
