Pros
The build quality is excellent and fit and finish is superb. Sits in hand comfortably. It is beautiful, balanced, and performs flawlessly. Perfect size and cigar shape.
This pen flows a lot more ink than the metropolitan and the vanishing point. Takes the hassle out of keeping the pen loaded.
I'm a newbie as far as fountain pens go. This “mid range” pen compares amazingly to my high end pens. One of the nicest pens out there.
My cramped writing style benefits from a finer nib. The only downfall is the nib is a scratchy and you’ll see some feathering.
All three pens are medium nib pens. Pilot nib is wonderfully smooth with just a hint of feedback. The m medium nib size is almost a b for my taste though - it is quite the fat m. This nib is glassy smooth.
Cons
The ink flow keeps failing. The threads on the barrel adjacent to the nib are prone to cracking.

Excellent pen and the smoothest nib i own
A like the overall dimensions of the pen, the smooth writing, and most of all the large ink capacity.
The ergonomics and flow, plus a huge ink reservoir is just unbelievable.
The plastic resin is solid and feels good in the hands.
Price
I am new to fountain pens and i will say that this is a very nice pen at a really great price.
The price point is pretty good too.
At this price it's totally worth it, but don't pay merc.
Shipping
I ordered the pen on jan 12, it shipped on jan 13, and it arrived at my door (signature required) on jan 26.
Packaging/appearance
The seller that i used took such great care to properly package it and everything was just as pictured.
Boxed well, and came as it should have been.
Wish it would have come with a bottle of pilot blue ink.
This does appear to be new old stock as the new production comes in different box with a bottle of pilot/namiki blue ink.
Competitiveness
I have developed a lot of respect for pilot and realize that their pens are every bit as good as many of the pricier brands.
Having purchased this pen, i now understand why it's such a sought after fountain pen, pilot is one of my favorite fountain pen companies.
It is similar to the shaefer snorkel system (without the snorkel).

While this is a pricier pen i will say that i haven’t had the desire to even shop around for another pen or add another one to my collection since i received this so maybe that is going to save me money in the long run
