Pros

Pyle clamp temperature probe is the only temperature device that will let you see the true temp on a copper line for reading the a/c condenser temperature. Temp readings accurate to my fluke clamp. Used with agptek digital thermometer for ac tuning.

Works as advertised. Works as well as the higher priced units. Seems to work rather well. Give it a go.

Cons

This just for one time to use. Had to recalibrate, repeatedly. For the price it's not worth mailing back for a warranty issue.

Too big & bulky to measure liquid line. Only ok for measuring suction line temp. Worthless for determining subcool. Useless right out of the bag.

The fieldpiece is very cheaply made. The spring is too strong for the cheap plastic used. The plastic just snaps. They need a redesign around the pin that holds them together.

You hvac guys out there using just a temp probe, it touches both the pipe and the insulation and it will not let you get a true reading.

If you don't want to spend 80$ a clamp on fieldpiece then this is the way to go.

Save yourself some money and get a quality product at a cheaper price.

This clamp will measure up to 200° c when most name brands will only measure up to 100° c.
