Pros & Cons
Pros
The material is quite durable, and it looks as though it will hold up to the test of time. This delivers on that. It's quite sturdy and good quality.
The strap holds the mandolin in place for better ergonomics. Loop around the scroll on the body.
Great little mando strap. Good value for a basic leather strap. Honestly is a good strap.
I’d agree it is snug but not prohibitive. It fit my a-style mandolin just fine. This strap works best on f style mandolins.
Cons
This looks nothing like the photo and for sure is not 2. It's like less than an inch wide. Not finished well.
Made out of very stiff leather. Has a cheap nylon shoelace tie.
The strap holes themselves are too small to fit on the strap peg on my mandolin. The strap is a 1 inch wide leather belt, not 2 inches. It's 46 inches long, but when wrapped around the scroll horn of the mandolin, it sits too high.
Highlights
Quality
Very easy to store in my hardshell case with the tie string attached.
Very high quality, great adjustability, and a secure hold on the instrument.
I was given a thin rope like strap with the mandolin.
The main problem i had with the wegen was that it has a slippery surface that causes the mandolin to shift around a little too ... Read More
Price
Price was right, and quality seems good.
It was exactly what i hoped for and the price was what i hoped to spend.
Made in canada surprisingly since the price is so low.
I was wary of this one due to the price.
Competitiveness
I use it for a budget ibanez starter model.
I had to lengthen the slit, and carefully cut away some of the bottom layer with an x-acto knife.
It’s a little short for my likings but that’s my fault.

The string at one end of the strap is what you use to attach that end around the headstock by tying a knot under the strings right where the truss cover is the other end the holed part goes to where the strap lugs are

Instead tie the excess like a braid or you can just leave the excess hanging and look really cool
