Now, onto the quality of the cable itself – it works perfectly.
Make sure you have said ac adapter before you purchase this product.
Additionally, this cable is only compatible with the original vita 1000 model; it will not charge a vita 2000 (slim).

I hate when i lose cables but this was a fast arriving replacement!
Shipped via snail mail, so it took a month between ordering and shipping before it finally arrived.
Packaging/appearance
Overall i would recommend yes, just know they aren't always in original packaging.
However i was under the impression they'd be new in their original packaging.
Competitiveness
Works as advertised on the older, pch-1000 model ps vita.

More information should be told about the cable such as it must be plugged into a charging block not just a computer or standard usb plug

I got lucky they sold this separately cats chewed throw mine and was un able to charge the vita lucky i found this

Note this product as sold contains only the usb charging cable for the vita system

It will not properly charge the system without the accompanying vita ac adapter plugging the usb connector into any other usb port such as a computer or a usb wall plug will not suffice as the system needs the correct ac adapter to actually receive and hold the charge
