    The straw has a filter that allows liquid to be sucked up it but if turned upside down the only liquid that will spill out of it is if there was any left in the top of the straw

    I like these because they are easy to clean but if you dont get the lid on just right honestly its like russian roulette then your child cant suck through the straw

    Also i have tried numerous other cups with straws but the spill proof valves were not the best and she couldnt even get anythin to come up through the straw no matter how hard she tried
