Pros

For lightweight trolling, these are great. Right over the front ridge of the cockpit. Inexpensive way to kayak fish for an afternoon.

Big fan of the functionality here. Very easy to adjust by just turning the knob to loosen or tighten.

This holder is very sturdy and simple to adjust. The sturdiness and heavy build make it something i want to buy again.

Cons

Clamp is completely insufficient to hold even my lightest rod, a 4’ 6” ultralight spinning rod and reel. No matter how hard you tighten them down, they simply tip over.

Awful setup for $80 worth for 2 of them. Do not troll with these. Ps $8 return label.

Overall, i am pretty satisfied with this purchase.

Had one a few good hits on the line and the holder didn't shift so i am overall happy with the product.

So with the small knob all the way tightened it can still be turned left or right.

I love it, and it's a great price.

I used a small piece of 1x2 wood on the outside of the lund boat to secure the clamp down and it was solid as a rock.
