Expands and collapses easily and locks in good. Reel seat is nice and fits standard reels of all designs.
They are great for traveling and i've driven across the country, and flown with them. The rod fits perfectly in the carry-on luggage. Perfect for fishing while traveling / camping with kids.
It comes with tip protector and lure keeper. Will be taking this to a lake at the end of a hike and hoping for a 1lb fish with a net. Caught a few bass 1-3lb size. Then headed out today and caught a couple small flounder.

Not designed for a bait cast type reel as there is no casting finger hook.
Price
Time will tell but this is a great inexpensive rod to travel with and/or keep in your car ready at any time.
In terms of price, the pole is very affordable.
If you are looking for a budget 6-8 foot rod for high line power for fish from bluegill to catfish, this is the rod you need!
Hopefully it holds up but for twenty dollars it is a steal.

The overall rod is also more balanced in weight distribution than their earlier telescopic rods which in my opinion tended to be quite bottomheavy

My one remaining complaint is that theres still no firstclass hook keeper on the rod unlike telescopic rods from say kastking
