Pros & Cons
Pros
Scanning at 24 dpi takes less than a minute. The quality of the scans is very good - but be prepared to wait. The resolution is fantastic, better than the grain of the kodachrome 64 of the slides in many cases. The only reason i didn't give it 5-stars... Read More
Silverfast se comes with three pieces of software, once, which i have learned is one of the best named silverfast se. Basic slide contract and brightness adjustments and cropping features work very easy and do a level of quality i was looking for. The... Read More
The customer service from plustek is very prompt and informative. Not to worry.
Other than the entry/exit slots, the scanner is fully enclosed. The package come with a soft case which is nice. Another thing that mattered to i have a pretty crowded desktop.
Slide scanning is easy and the machine is beautifully calibrated. Flip and rotate feature makes it easy to readjust the orientation of the slide.
Cons

Competitiveness
Professionals with high-quality slides might not be happy, but for making prints from dusty old slides found in the attic, this... Read More
I bought a micro-suede dust rag at office max that worked great.
The plustek scans one slide at a time, rather quickly, too.
