The sensors on these units are pretty decent but by no means perfect even on more expensive models for the best air quality youll want to simply up the fan speed to a level you find agreeable volumewise instead of having it run on low all the time until it detects something

You can toggle between having it display the humidity level of the room the temperature in celsius or the estimated electric bill for 24 hours based on the japanese yen and the current power consumption of the machine

The machine does have an alert light thatll tell you when to clean the main filter

Ive run several japanese appliances for years all without any problems whatsoever but to be perfectly safe or for your own peace of mind you could certainly buy a transformer of the appropriate wattage
