Installation is a snap and no you cannot confuse these ddr4 modules with older ram because the notch is almost dead center

My kingston modules support xmp while these do not

In case you dont know xmp should be enabled in your bios so your memory speed is closer to advertised memory speeds unless you want to set the speed manually
