It works out of the box on catalina. It is practically made for this server. Used to update my video connection from a dvi to hdmi.

The driver is also available on nvidia's web site. You have to go to nvidia's website to find it and the file is rather large (434+mb) download. Perfect for updating a pc that has a motherboard based display logic and a small power supply.

Cons

After downloading the driver from website, the maximum resolution i get is 1920x1080. Insufficient power to the adapter causes it to restart regularly. The nvidia driver archive site lists lots of drivers as compatible that are not actually compatible... Read More

I have had to order a seperate bracket set from amazon that arrived today, and only had one bracket with no vga bracket.

The installation was quick and didn't require an additional power connection.

Edit: the replacement bracket arrived in 2 days, the card runs very well and quiet.
