Quality
Very low profile with the added heatsinks, goes into my mobo flawlessly.
Used this to round out my computers capacity to a total of 32 gb and am well pleased
I had to mess with the settings in the bios to change it from running at 1333mhz but other than that its fine.
So far it's a good product, mb picked it as 1600 made some adjustments on bios to run it as 1800.
Competitiveness
Slightly more expensive than certain comparable kits.
I can't say anything bad about pny products so i would definitely recommend this to friends.
Skill ripjaws z and so far i'm happy with it but there where a few problems.

On this mother board you need to update your bios then turn on xmp mode while still in the bios to get it to see the 1866mhz memory

The people that are complaining that it isnt running at advertised speed probably did not go into their bios and change the clock speed up to 1866
