The higher capacity drives probably make less sense over something triedandtrue like an mx500 if you need a boot drive but the lower capacity drives are only 1015 more than dramless drives

It is still no faster booting up than the old hdd when it worked but im told that ill need a fresh install of win10 to get the boot times i was expecting

Each drive was allowed 3 minutes after they completed booting to fully settle and then were run 1 time the samsung was run twice because i was not expecting those poor write speeds but there was no change

With these read speeds i actually would recommend this first for your dedicated os if you have slots for two drives but if only one then you will probably not be overloading the read or write capacity

It never needs to be defragmented and there are no moving parts to wear out unlike the spindle motors on older drives
