If you want to start a new adventure in the game you must save over hence deleting the previous save file

Pokemon can easily be transferred to another gen 1 or gen 2 game by having two 2ds3ds systems on the same wifi visiting a pokemon trade center on both games and following the options on the lower screen

Only small complaint is that you cant tradebattle over wifi with this title so it makes completing the game 300 more of a pain
