The cartridge includes only a built-in *license* to download the dlc. Blatant rip off.

Quality
I’ve spent more time in dynamax adventures than i have with the base game, and it really is worth shelling out the extra cash.
As for the quality of the game itself, it's pretty much the standard affair for the series.

The packaging was great, perfect condition and the game is a lot of fun i would highly recommend this game to all of my friends :)

The main campaign is ok plot whise but other than that its a pokemon game with some well implemented new game mechanics like the wild area and the free camera and dynamaxing pokemon when i finish both the dlc i might update this review

Anyway to be sure this was the case i turned off wifi and set the system to airplane mode for my switch to make sure it was unable to perform any internet connection

Then inserted the pokemon sword expansion pass cart into the switch booted it up from the beginning with no previous save data

The primary complaints i’ve seen with this game are 1 that a lot of content is locked behind a paywall and 2 that not all pokémon have returned in this generation

As for the second complaint it really is unfortunate that not all pokémon made the cut
