No, i don't think gen 1 is the best and all other gens are bad.
The storyline is okay when compared to pokemon black and white (my most favorite storyline within the series thus far).
Which can just as easily be traded with gts (global trade station) over a wifi connection.

Bought it used and it came with an unerased save loaded on it which was kind of a bummer because of spoilers as to how the game looks etc
