Pros & Cons
Pros
The polaroid underwater camera delivers exceptional performance and stunning results. Whether capturing colorful coral reefs or elusive marine life, the camera guarantees your memories are preserved with exceptional clarity && richness.
This is a solid starter camera. The form factor and functionality is definitely familiar and if you've ever handled a digital camera before you'll be able to pick up and shoot with this one immediately. The camera has the ease of use of a disposable c... Read More
Usb rechargeable ensures you never run out of power. Charging is easy and lasts a good long time. Included usb cable connects to the camera via type-c but has a standard usb-a connection.
Both my fourteen year old and eight year old have no problem using it. It has a sturdy build and is easy to use. The price of 50 to 60 bucks makes it appropriate for an older child's first action camera.
Cons
Polaroid needs to rename this camera. If i'm going to go through the effort to get into the ocean to video, i want a camera with normal sharp detail capture; this is not it.
With choppy video and low-quality photos, i am not sure why it is advertised as 4k. I believe this camera has a low quality sd sensor and is using software to quadruple the pixel dimensions.
Very cheaply made and poor quality door trap. I have no use for a camera that will not interface with my other gear.
Highlights
Quality
It worked great and took amazing quality pictures.
Good quality camera and easy to use!
The pictures that you see attached, were taken on a good visibility day of about 80% and overcast.
Overall, this is a good quality camera, especially for kids.
Price
The price of 50 to 60 bucks makes it appropriate for an older child's first "action" camera.
This is a fun water camera and is really good for the current price of $49.
And at $50, you're not going to lose sleep if it does take in water.
But for $50 i think this may be worth it for trips where you're worried about losing a good camera or phone in the water or tak... Read More
Packaging/appearance
It came well packaged and all needed pieces were present.
Within moment of unboxing we had glass bowls all over the kitchen of various depths, adding food coloring of various strengths ... Read More
I'd also like to note that the packaging was extreme.
After opening the box top, there's a full, hard-plastic enclosure that's super-glued to the bottom of the box, so it takes noth... Read More
Competitiveness
They don't compare to photos taken with my phone.
This is a better then average camera for it's price range, i think.
