Pros & Cons
Pros
This cheap underwater housing actually does the job perfectly. Underwater quality comes out great. It is important to find a container to keep the housing in, between trips, to be sure it does not get bent or crushed.
For an infrequent underwater photographer, this case is pretty good. Comes with foam pads that you move around so that your camera doesn't rattle in the case and can firmly wedge your camera against the flexible back. Cleaning it with a little windex ... Read More
Cons
Not very reassuring words from the manufacturer. Omg this is the worst thing i ever bought! One side is off, the other is just utterly stuck. The housing is pushed forward by the battery compartment on one side.
Case is too small for my canon powershot a1300. The glare and reflection from your own camera lense off of the clear front of the polaroid housing device is the worst part.
Highlights
Quality
Good product quality an works very good
) i was very happy with the quality and ease of use.
Once i was satisfied that it did not leak, i put the camera inside and submerged it quickly to test for leaks; no leaks.
I lowered the camera very slowly (watching while using snorkel and mask) and verified no water was coming in before submerging ... Read More
Price
This was an inexpensive way to get some underwater shots.
Very useful and inexpensive (if you consider the price of a waterproof camera) for the occasional use.
I figured for $20 if i use it and it doesn't work, i'll just send it back.
The bag is inexpensive and does it's job as well while under water.
Packaging/appearance
I ended up cutting the packaging plastic wrapper and using rubber bands as a make shift lens cap.
Competitiveness
Interestingly enough, i saw a lot of these for sale in the cancun area from the guide services.
The polaroid branded case is slightly more expensive than the no name brand.
You'll get better pictures than other housings for a digital camera.

After a few years of use i have noticed the plastic starting to develop a bit of a 34foggy34 look probably from the corrosive seawater but it took many years of use before that happened
