Pros
This dye is essential for locating leaks in a vinyl pool. Stays together to pinpoint the leak. Was instrumental in finding and confirming the leak in our pool liner. Not much different than food coloring but maybe a little thicker.
Found my leaks and applied 2 part leak epoxy. Epoxied cracks and refilled pool. Used some plumber's putty around the leak and no more water loss.
Worked well by following instructions. Worked as advertised. No issues. Spray some of this.
The dye comes with a hypodermic style delivery system. The dye and plunger are very easy to use. Easy to refill.
Cons
The tip is too small to glue without sealing the hole. It disperses too quickly even in a still pool. Go with food coloring instead.

A lot of dye for reasonable price.
Packaging/appearance
Surface cracks in the plaster that weren't leaking the dye cloud would just float around until it was swept away.
Was able to use this to locate the leak in my pool.
Was able to find a small pin hole in our above ground pool.
