I do not suggest taking apart your only dock to do this as the instructions are very basic and some of the connections are a little delicate what i did was scour the internet for a damaged dock to buy that still worked but had a visable defect this meant i got the new portablebreathablenonscratch dock for less tyhan the price of an official dock
