The little marking for place value can be a little confusing since they line up with the place value separation instead of to the left of it

The beads are loose so doing calculations on a bed or pillow or even your lap isnt advised

I had a battery operated ring but the batteries cannot be replaced and you have to return it to the manufacturer which takes several weeks so i came up with the idea of using this simple counting tool and may not even go back to the digital ring
