Sanding/Polishing Performance
Customers are generally satisfied with the sanding and polishing performance of the PORTER-CABLE 7346SP Random Orbit Sander, praising its ability to produce good results without causing paint damage. However, some customers were disappointed that it only came with a polishing pad and not a sanding pad as well.
Highlights
Quality
Amazing tool for professional sanding, must be very careful not to hit it or drop it since the arbor can bent making it vibrate... Read More
Pleased with this tool as it looks to be designed and built to give me another 20 years of good sanding production.
Impossible to burn paint, no need to press hard let the machine do the work.
The base that has a counterweight under the sanding pad wobbled independently from the shaft coming from the motor.
Price
All i have to say is that for ~$100, it worked for me to remove bottom paint from my 21ft center console and for that i am happy.
Best sander for the money to refinish decks
Competitiveness
Lived up to its reputation and is a worthy successor to previous models by porter-cable that we have used for many years.
This is the first polisher i have owned and used so i cannot make a comparison.
Been using this sander since the older model was out, outsands all the competition by far.

Also the black screws holding the tool together had to be sporadically tightened as they would loosen and the grey portion would start to seperate from the black part where the 90 degree handle attaches
