Great design, you can feel the quality when you hold it.
I've had no problem with the plunge router, but have used it very little.
The spindle lock does not function with the switch in the on position.
The quality of the tool is way up there and will never buy another low end tools ever.

This is an excellent package at a very competitive price.
Price was excellent, will not get to use until after the holiday.

This is by far the best router on the market for the price.
Porter cable only has dust collection for the plunge base, and it's not compatible with standard shopvac hookups.
The only flaw is from porter cable, the wrench that they sent is just a little better than cheesey.

The old router package was not variable speed the motor had a poor fit in the bases no soft start was not user friendly and was lacking the router lift adjustment

When im using the fixed base in the router table saw dust can collect between the motor unit and the base making it sometimes difficult to remove the motor unit from the base

Dust collection needs to be running at 100 to keep this from becoming an issue

Best router on the marketplunge base type 2 is excellent the grip vac accessory for the fix base helps with dust pick up it has a shield that stops the air that is blowing from the router from interfering with the vac pick up
