I love this thing, cutting rebar, polishing metal, grinding welds, it does it all with a heavy duty motor, cord, and activation... Read More
The biggest problem with this tool is you cannot replace the brushes, which is what went bad with my prior purchase.
I used this grinder to both cut apart an old propane outdoor grill, and cut apart links on a metal fence.
Price
Always wanted one - the price on this was great!
For the price, the paddle trigger style it's a winner for me.
If it was a hundred dollars i would be returning them.
So went to harbor fright and bought one for $ 10.
Packaging/appearance
No case, just put it back in it's box for storage.
Competitiveness
Overall after scowering the web this was the best grinder of this style by a trusted brand for the price.
Time will tell if it lasts a long as the expensive brands.
Professionals and armatures alike use portor cable for the past 60 plus years; there is a reason for that.

First off the power is on point

The switch with the option to lock on is awesome but i dont even need to lock it on because the switch is in a perfect location with your grip as opposed to those grinders with the switch closer to the spinning wheel and in my case that eventually wears out and you battle to keep the thing on

Even a grinding wheel which wasnt expectedlisted which ive used quite a lot and still looks as if its barely been used

I did use it to cut rubber with a cutting wheel i bought and it was pulling hard yet the motor never stopped spinning
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It has one issue that can be fixed with two small rubber orings seems the backing plate is sloppy around the shaft this lets the wheel to be mounted out of round its not much but noticeable

Two metric rings fit best cant remember the exact size atm but its not hard to figure out
