The drip rings work great, but the notches on the bottom really do a great job of shedding water. It's so you know you're blade is in position to hit the water correctly. Very good paddle for all around kayaking.

Fits my ascend h12 kayak perfect. The catch 130 is primarily a pedal drive, so i didn't want to go crazy on a backup paddle.

The pelican angler has the same measurement markings along the shaft for measuring fish and the hook notch in the blade for dislodging snagged hooks. The length of the pelican angler is helpful to minimize dripping into my boat.

The paddle is strong with little flex, so it is very productive. It is stout enough to push off when launching without any concern. Light enough that i'm not easily winded going a long distance.

The grip point for the right hand was smashed in. It is also hideous.
