Pros:* excellent build quality, the controller feels great.
In any case, we are very happy now with the controller after our adventure in diy modification.
Thanks to imitch and others for their detailed reviews about their problems with the left analog stick not working with the faceplate on.
The only issue is that it didn't come with the 10ft braided usb cable, so now i'm having to use an old phone usb-c cable to charge it.

It helps to know we were not the only ones experiencing this and confirming the problem was mechanical in nature not software

We took the faceplate off flipped it upside down and using some gentle but firm pressure popped off the ring that was obstructing the full and free motion of the left analog stick

A controller with a removable faceplate as feature should work exactly the same with the faceplate on as off

If you want full range of motion in all directions on this controller you have to pop the anti friction rings out of the faceplates

They come out pretty easily and you can pop them back in just as well
