Pros & Cons
Pros
It's a fantastic controller, but it's a hard sell if you don't play many fighting games. I know the * gamers can pick apart this stick, but my kid is blown away by this, and that's all that matters. This controller is fantastic!
Movements (joystick) and actions (*) react fine in super smash brother. The joystick is responsive and definitely one that you can practice to 100% consistency on any joystick dependent game. The controller is sturdy and the */joystick are comfortably... Read More
White, red, and grey magnetic faceplates snap on and off with no problem. The replaceable faceplate is a nice touch. To me, the neatest feature is the swappable face places.
This is one of my favorites for the clean look and the zero-lag! I recommend experimenting with the switches on the side. This remote reminds me of my old sega remote, it's so similar in style and how it feels.
On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the og big cabinet arcade stick, this is around a 7. It is better than the all-plastic sticks, but not as sturdy as the og metal ones. Perfect for travelling.
Cons
When inspecting the controller there are scratches all over the plexiglass. Roughly 2 months of what i would perceive to be normal use is not a great lifespan for a 60$ pad.
Highlights
Quality
The quality and weight of the product is prime.
The quality of this controller is very durable and is easily worth the $65 price.
This arcade stick should be used sparingly wired with the switch as it definitely has a noticeable drain on the battery.
It doesn't pair, nor does it work wired (with the power off as the instructions state for wired mode).
Shipping
At first my kids didn’t like that it was wired, but the fast response time and great hand feel soon made them happy to have it.
Packaging/appearance
) these came in really nice packaging which was wrapped in plastic, and then shipped in an amazon box.
A small switch is used to select whether the joystick is assuming the role of the d-pad, the left analog stick, or the right analog stick.
Batteries included - please don't throw them out of the black packaging.
Competitiveness
It also allows you to use a dpad for smash bros, which i found to be an interesting prospect.
The included joycon controllers live up to their names.
This is a fightstick made for the switch.
All in all, this is a huge upgrade over nintendo's dreadful joy/con controllers.

The biggest surprise is one day i got curious and plugged it into my ps4 and it actually worked which was amazing but it really made me question why they are selling 3 versions of the same controller if they all work the same through all consoles

The buttons and dpad are both comfortably stiff

Please understand that this is a dpad not an analogue stick

Its not made for games like smash where you need analog sticks

It does however let you change the dpad to left stick so games like links awakening where a dpad would feel really good but youre forced to use the left stick greatly benefit from this controller

The only thing you may want to check is whether it plays nicely with your games on the switch
