Outside diameter of flanges is perfect for flex hose. Cut a pvc union in half and glue one half into each side of the gate. Solid aluminum vent material fits perfect & secured with a worm drive hose clamp.

It is far too thin and flimsy. There was a lot of blood from not paying attention when opening the packaging.

Can't go wrong with the self cleaning slide.
A nice high quality piece, betting will give years of use.
I am not sure why they have the piece with the hole in the slide.
I do need to be careful with the slide though, it'll bend easily.

For one its pretty easy to bend the blast gate when its in the closed position

They barely made the sheet metal larger than the hole so its pretty fragile if you happen to bump in to it
