Pros & Cons
Pros
This stand is sturdy enough for my purposes and was one of the cheapest universal stands available. The top is expandable to 3 different sizes and is pretty sturdy. The bottom shelf has a two piece mdf base, which could safe with extra weight.
Building this on top of a workbench is helpful as it's easier to build upside down. This is so that when you attach all the braces, that 45 degree cut will mesh with the adjacent brace and fit nicely. The only complaint i have is that the mdf sheeting... Read More
Cons
The instructions are horrible and nothing is marked. What was supplied worked but did not give ability to adequately tighten them down. I have 1 leg that was bend incorrectly.
This is shoddy, low-quality junk but if you can get it at a low price, it will very basically work for some applications. I'm using it to support an oscillating sander which is light but this is not well built. Table is quite flimsy.
The mdf used is absolutely reeking of formaldehyde. Which, is cancerous! This product feels very cheaply made.

Competitiveness
There are several of these, probably originating from the same manufacturer on amazon, and this appears to be the lowest price.
To safety mount a drill press onto the stand i replaced the top with 2 2x8 boards.

Now if you were putting a small heavy tool in the center of the top im thinking a bench grinder or a drill press id probably recommend putting a piece of plywood across the mdf top to help support it in the center and spread the weight out
