Pros

These tracks are a good value. Similar if not identical extruded aluminum thickness. It’s extruded aluminium just like the higher priced ones.

Makes cutting slab lumber a breeze.

There was no twist too the guides or deviation in straightness compared to a precision straight edge.

Cons

Did not try makita rails after reading bad reviews. Turns out there is slight cupping and warping on one edge. No connectors were included in the box.

I purchased a wen track saw and works great with the powertec guide rails.

Price

Festool is 155 dollars for one track.

I kept looking at getting another rail and the necessary hardware, but couldn't get past the price point.

I love festool but i can't justify all their costs.

I'd say they are worth the extra cost.

Shipping

Just do yourself the favor and rerplace the edge cut strips immediately or you will be left with down time with shipping on new strips.

The saw was fine but i had an issue with the rails due to defect or damage from shipping.

These tracks work great with a festool track saw.

Couldn’t be happier with this powertec product.

I have a jointer, but only a 3ft deck on it.

The makita and festool strips are firmer and don't have this issue.
