Fit In Holes
Customers are highly satisfied with the fit of these bench dogs in their 3/4" holes. They provide a secure hold and work effectively for woodworking tasks such as planing boards.
Material Strength
Customers generally praise the material strength of the POWERTEC bench dogs, noting their effective gripping power when used with clamps and preference over homemade alternatives. However, some express caution about long-term durability and mention the plastic material as a safety feature.
Highlights
Quality
These are well made and seem sturdy.
These seem to be well made, and the important part is that they fit.
I drilled my holes with a high quality 3/4” bit and used a jig to guarantee a straight bore.
The inserts do a good job keeping wood secure for your router.
Price
Best thing you can add to you work bench under 10 bucks.
My local woodcraft (salt lake) wanted $14 a piece and of course they were never in stock.
You can buy a bunch of wooden dowels and make your own for less $, but i only needed 2, so for around $5 each, i couldn't beat that.
However i wouldn't spend $30+ on brass ones unless you're after the aesthetic.

I replaced the work tops on my workmate bench and drilled 3434 holes to match the original tops

However the original tops had 20mm holes so i was concerned that about finding the right dogs to match
