I've used it to rough-grind quite a few lathe tools before sharpening with a diamond wheel and it's holding up fine.

Works quickly to square up/dress working face of stone.

This tool ground my grinder wheel flat in less than 30 seconds.

I used it to grind a wood-splitting wedge that was dangerously mushroomed and cracked.

Price

Great value, works as well as some high end ones i've bought.

This restored the wheels quickly and inexpensively.

In any case new wheels are expensive and this is not.

I don't know how long this will last, but for the price it's hard to beat.
