Price
Shopped price on this item and this was best place to buy.
Much cheaper than buying one or two at a time at the local hardware store.
I typically did not use a bag with my shop vac (mainly because of cost at big-box home improvement stores).
Competitiveness
Would never know they are not the name brand ones.
These bags are less expensive than the store bought brands sold by the manufacturer of the shopvacs.
These work better then the actual rigid brand for the vacuum as far as fit goes and way cheaper.

Suction on my shop vac seems to run at top performance even after sucking up a ton of fine dust which normally would have degraded the suction performance of the shop vac by about one third at least
