Silicone material is thick enough to stand up to some light chomping. Chew proof, thinner hole for smaller toddlers and kids. Seem stronger to standing up to their chewing.
The brush works best if you put a lot of dish soap on it and rub it to work up suds before inserting it into the wet straw.

The inner diameter is smaller than typical straws

One thing they could do better but likely won’t change as their casting mold has already been made is that because of the mold the “lines” that are raised up on the sides make contact with your lips

If they were 90 degrees off they wouldn’t make contact
