Pros & Cons
Pros
This is thinner in constancy than cade but performs nearly as well. The puck lasts a ridiculously long time even with heavy loading one each. It's quad milled, so it's going to last a long time.
The moisturizer itself works fantastically. Compared with regular aftershave creams this one works better. Leaves your skin moisturized all day without being greasy compliment of the shea butter.
The fragrance is pleasant and not overpowering. It is different, but still manly. Not overwhelming or stifling.
Cons
This soap does not produce enough lather. It kind of has a stale generic lotion smell. This stuff, which i actually expected to be more like the l'occitane, isn't.
Very disappointing performance from a somewhat over-hyped soap. I thought it would fit around his neck, he has parkinsons and i cant have him dropping the soap and falling trying to pick it up. This soap needs heat.
Highlights
Quality
Great shaving soap, good lather and sent
It has a lovely sandalwood scent, is long lasting, forms a rich lather and leaves his skin moisturized, looking & smelling great.
A three second swirl on the puck with a soft wet synthetic brush creates enough lather for 3 passes on my face and my entire scalp.
If they just made products for every step, including something that stops the straight razor cuts from bleeding forever and leaving scars.
Price
The price for what you get is phenomenal for this quad milled hard soap.
This version is a little pricey, but it was something that i could give that he could use and it could bring back memories.
My decision to pick this brand was the price, the user comments and tested a shaving soap before.
A tad pricey but worth it in my opinion.
Competitiveness
I use this with a henson razor which i feel is significantly superior to the conventional razors i have used in the past.
, etc) and this one from pdp has become my favorite due to its scent.
The tube has the same shape and cap as the other brand.
In my opinion, this soap is at least equal to tabac, but less expensive and larger puck than tabac.

The scent is more true to what i would consider a classic “barbershop” scent than any product actually labeled with that scent i have tried
