Pros & Cons
Pros
Good addition to the shave den. I'm glad i hung onto it because it is now one of my favorite shave soaps. Highly recommend to you.
This soap makes a great lather but it is not easy. It lathers well, gives a smooth shave, has a light pleasant frangrance and lasts seemingly forever.
The quadruple milled soap is phenomenal. The razor glides over your face as you use it. I hope some adjustments back to wet shaving help me get a slicker shave.
Cons
The van fee hagen soap i initially started with is way better. Poor lubrication, mediocre lather. Lather is an airy foam that has almost no slickness and absolutely no residual slickness.
Highlights
Quality
Definitely a great shaving soap, it lathered up quickly and made great smelling cream.
Great scent that i and my wife love, slick (use plenty of water and a good brush), lasts a long time, and is the one puck i gra... Read More

It lathered into a dense, pillowy, sustained foam and in less than a minute this way.
Price
I've tried various shave soaps in the past from inexpensive ones to this one, being the most expensive.
I think it was worth the price
For the price, a good option for shavers
Shipping
Amazon was good and replaced it and also refunded my prime membership for the month.
I had to order five to get free shipping.
Packaging/appearance
The replacement unfortunately arrived in a normal amazon plastic bag with zero protective packaging, just the tin of soap.
Comes in a tin and can't really be removed.
So it is dented badly, but the puck was fine.
Competitiveness
My wife, daughter and myself like this aroma better than tabac.
0 drag compared to other soaps when using a straight razor
I've tried pdp previously and didn't favor it at the time.
Recently, i decided to switch from gillette canned shaving cream for my head (and beard line trims) to a puck soap, with brush and lather.

Once you start whipping it up in a bowl the complex aroma just explodes

Dont miss out it by doing a face lather

The first time i used this soap i added too much water to my shaving bowl and i ended up with a bit of a disappointingly rough shave despite the fantastic smell

For me i only need to load up in the tin for about 10 seconds or so and then i go immediately to a shaving bowl dipped in the warm sink water

For best performance resist the urge to build up a big cotton pillow lather with extra water

Instead just use the water from dipping the bowl and already in your brush

Mix it up until you get a rich but tight lather and youll be rewarded with an extremely slick and luscious cushion that even my cheapest razor slides through with ease
