It is simple to use you basically scan the area and when you get a note you can accurately find where to dig by using the button marked pin which homes in on the exact place by means of a higher pitch sound as you get nearer to the item

The electronics unit has a good clear colour screen with easy to understand information on metal type depth sensitivity settings etc
