I do think that it could have come with instructions because it took me a few minutes to figure out how to open the grinder to insert saltpepper simply twist the end holding firmly on the metal

Unfortunately for me i got it as a deal of the day just before i moved crosscountry so it was a few months before it got unpacked and tried so i cant return it

The pieces are held in place by plastic ridges that got stripped out almost immediately upon the first use
