Pros & Cons
Pros
It's how i learned to cook. It's lightweight and the tray of the dish is reversible.
It comes apart pretty easy but it does take conscious thought & stop to pay attention to remove the lid without the butter sliding. The lid is a little tight at first but it loosens up after a few uses. Lid stays on better, too.
The lid is firmly snug and has a nice seal. Butter stays fresh with the vacuum like seal, might be silicone.
It's very clever how it seals without a latch or catch that i can see. Seals very tightly with the rubber gaskets. Keeps the butter fresher.
Cons
Both ends have cracks that are propagating further and further. The lid snaps on so tight you need a pry bar to open it. Slips around on the counter when trying to slice butter.
Highlights
Quality
Good features; clear, lid stays on and measurement cutting lines!
It does seal tight - can be tricky to remove top if your hands are damp but all in all, this is well made.
Seals so tight once it was left on the stove next to a pot, all of it melted but not a drop leaked out.
Have bought numerous butter keepers (cheap) that didn't last 3 months without cracking or breaking.
Price
This is a great little butter holder, lightweight and inexpensive.
And half the price at big chain stores.
